All of the videos in this channel are filmed in the Atlanta, GA area unless the title indicates otherwise. People frequently ask what city is this or when was this or even what country is this. Why does it matter? It's just a train video. Enjoy it. I don't make videos to get likes or to educate people on geography. I'm not particularly interested in what the train symbols are and couldn't care less what kind of horn the locomotive has. I shoot train videos because I like trains. I share them in case anyone is interested. I don't share videos to "promote" my channel or to make ad revenue. If you don't put ads in your videos Google will monetize them anyways and take 100% of the profit and if you don't advertise they won't promote your videos so no one will ever see them. You pretty much don't have a choice.

The Action Continues in Atlanta with More NS and CSX Freights and Stacks
In this video we start with an NS stack train pulling out of Inman and heading up the Greenville line. Swap some batteries and we get a look at a light CSX power move. Then a westbound NS freight sneaks up on us. Then we see a westbound NS stack coming off track three over to one. Then we see what the CSX light engines have brought us, an eastbound freight? No. Another transfer train from Pine street backing into Howell yard. Then finally along comes an NS stack off the Greenville line into Inman. It's a long one.

The day after the 4th of July holiday was busy in Atlanta, also quite hot and humid. Can You film around Oakland Junction by the west end it’s a lot Ns&Csx traffic over there
I shoot there sometimes but it’s not as safe over there as at Howell wye. And due to health reasons I don’t travel as much as I used to and can’t stay out as long so shooting at Howell makes a lot more sense. In a relatively short time I can get an hour or more of video without having to drive around a lot. Also with ATCS gone I can’t tell if there are any trains in the area now. When I would see a bunch of trains accumulating in that area I would drive over there. Now I see nothing.

Without ATCS it’s hard to tell when trains are in the area. I don’t care much for radio chatter either. I don’t even carry one. But it does help tell when trains are around even if you can’t hear exactly what they’re saying.

Are Csx intermodal common at Howell
It’s random. Half of CSX trains go through Howell and the other take the tunnel under Inman. There was track work going on that day so they might have changed route.

Flowery Branch is a nice area. Not too busy. Halfway between Buford and Gainesville. A few good restaurants nearby. Some shopping. The trains do blow through there. A decent safe place to watch trains.
